It's been almost ten years since I've been in a "recording studio" to document my music. After spending a year or more to construct a new studio in Acuff, Texas with my friend and sound engineer Alan Crossland, the time finally came to go back in and try again with some new tunes, a fresh environment, a new Yamaha Concert Grand piano, and all the tools I needed plus one awesome musician...Brian McRae. So, with many of life's lessons under my hat, years of listenin' and learnin', lots of humility and gratitude and a severe love for this music...I plunged back into the studio to document these songs. I'm very proud of how the record came out and feel it's my strongest work to date. I hope ya'll love hearin' it as much as I loved makin' it!!! Till next time... Doug Smith
